Happy Anniversary

We started dating in May,
And he made my heart sing.
Nine months later,
He gave me a ring.

Things That Make You Go Hmmmmmm

So this weekend, as ya'll know, is Valentines Day!!  A day for all things lovey and romantic-ey!!

I was looking through all the sale papers to see what pretty Valentine's "stuff" all the stores have for the menfolk to woo their womenfolk with!!  Don't know why I found this so funny, but two pages over from Walgreen's special Valentine section, I saw this....

Thoughtless Randoms

1.Got to spend 4 glorious hours by myself on Saturday.

2.Spent that time cleaning.  The grime in the shower was starting to talk back.
Don't judge me.

3.Also did laundry.  ALL.OF.IT.  At 7:30 on Saturday night, my laundry basket was E.M.P.T.Y.
It's cup now runneth over.

4.I managed not to turn my television on all day Saturday. My 7-year-old now thinks I'm going to hell.

5.My sister, who is 10 years younger than me and played softball in college, "convinced" me to run 2.4 miles with her on Sunday.  I may or may not have walked part of that.

6.Enjoyed Super Bowl Sunday with my besties. And I most definitely stuffed my face with all things greasy.

7.Sick of rain. Would like to see some snow.  Apparently south Arkansas doesn't know what that is.

8.Glad to be back in the gym.  Although, tonight I was cursing the cute, skinny girl running on the treadmill, while I huffed and puffed my way through 5 minutes on the elliptical.

9.Love the way my 2 &1/2 year old niece refers to bras as "boobies". While we were at Wal-mart today, my sister commented that she needed a new bra.  As we walked by the racks (ha ha...racks!) of bras, my niece looks at my sister and says, "Hey mom, there's some boobies...Do you need those boobies, mom!!"

10.Hope everyone has a great rest of the week!!

A New Look

So...I've been  completely lazy  on a blogging hiatus. Probably because I can't seem to wrap my mind around a single coherent thought lately.  Or it could be I'm just lazy!! Who knows!!  To be honest, I get more enjoyment out of reading everyone else's blogs!!

I started reading this blog and absolutely fell in love with it!!  As I was reading old posts, I came across this post, and I swear I could hear angels singing in the background!!  I've been wanting a new look for my blog, but cannot make up my mind on what I want!! Now I can do my own!!  And I like the idea that I can change it up!!

The pictures I chose for this month reflect happenings that go on around our house in the month of February.

Danny and I will celebrate 14 years of marriage on Feb. 24th!!  Time flies when you're having fun!! Ummmm....sure!!  He will also turn 35 on the 24th!!  We got married on his 21st birthday...I always say he got  gipped  the best gift for his 21st birthday!! Me!! HA!!  He picked the date, so he can't complain!!

I went through old pics and dug out some of Hesley from past Valentine's Day!!  Love his fat cheeks and his cute sayings on his shirts!! He won't wear those kind of shirts anymore.  He's 7...and apparently too cool!!

Adventures in Babysitting

So I'm niece-watching for a couple of days this week due to the fact the my sister's babysitter decided to run for her life take a little Christmas vacay!!  She's my "little girl I'm never gonna have", so I don't mind her being around at all!!

She came with a little somethin' extra today!!  See, she's already celebrated one Christmas with my bro-in-law's side of the family, and this is what she ended up with...

a 7-week old Shitzu named Lolli!!
How cute is she?!?!?

Now, I don't have a problem with dogs at all!!  But today, I was really wishing this little houseshoe of a dog was not here!!  Because this is what happened!!

Hesley fell in love with didn't want to let her go love! So everytime he had her this is what Emma was doing...

sobbing her little eyes out...sometimes it was a blood curdling scream!!

I finally had to make them put Lollie in the laundry basket so she could rest...they had worn her out!!

In all fairness to the children, there was ONE small moment of sharing and happiness...

But don't let 'em fool soon as the camera clicked, Hesley took off with her and the fight was on!!!!

Labor of Love

I heard this song for the first time in church this morning, and it brought tears to my eyes. Hope you love it as much as I did.
